Ansible Collections
Flex deployment relies on multiple set of tasks and associated configuration options coming from a series of Ansible collections.
- BaseOS, a Dalet cross-product generic collection, allowing to tune in operating system (Windows for Galaxy, Ubuntu Linux for other products), adding packages, repositories, moniotring and troubleshooting utilities and enforcing security.
- DBaaS, allowing deployment and configuration of ready-to-be-used (or as-as-service) databases, such as MariaDB and PostgreSQL.
- Flex, the collection taking care of deploying and managing all Flex services and backend components.
The next guides provide an exhaustive description and documentation of all per-collection public variables and configuration option that can be used to tune in Flex deployment and operational behavior.
Many (especially the one's from BaseOS collection) are already pre-filled by the Flex collection itself but everything remains fully overridable as platform (or host) specific.
