Planned Maintenance

Cases are where you have to intentionally put your system under planned maintenance. This may happen for multiple reasons, especially when running on-premises, like physical relocation, hardware replacement and so on.

When such happens, it is recommended to proceed with a proper software shutdown of Flex system.

This will ensure that any ongoing job and activity will complete, that all necessary data are being flushed to disk and ensure system's sanity.

This can be easily performed by Ansible:

$ opsctl deploy -p dalet.flex.stop

Once migration or maintenance is over, the service can be restored similarly:

$ opsctl deploy -p dalet.flex.flex -t quickstart
