Flex Classic on AWS
Dalet Flex is fully compatible Amazon Web Services (AWS) hosting. With Dalet's successful completion of AWS Foundational Technical Review in June 2023, it is even the most straightforward deployment there is.
Flex deployment is compatible with any AWS region and extends the core blueprint with AWS added-value services.

Flex deployment is spread accross 3 AZs and consists of:
- Route53-managed DNS domain and services.
- VPC Network.
- Security Group deny-all policy.
- ALB for public query routing.
- Optional AWS WAF for enhanced frontal security.
- Fixed-sized EC2 instances with EBS block-storage.
- Optional EKS Kubernetes cluster for elastic Flex Stream Processor (FSP) engines.
- RDS for MariaDB database (optionnally extended with single EC2 machine for additional backup capabilities).
- S3 buckets for media assets storage with various tiering and storage classes, as to optimize access / performance / costs.
- Optional Glacier storage.
Except from optional FSP, Flex platform usage is usually 'flat' or consistent over time, requiring no extra need (or added complexity) for resources auto-scaling. Consequently, Flex infrastructure is usually expected to be right-sized.
EC2 instances specifications depend on node type and platform forecasted usage.
