Introduction

Welcome to Dalet Flex Classic Operational Guidelines documentation !

Dalet Flex

Dalet Flex is an agile media logistics and content supply chain solution that makes it easier and less costly to produce, prepare, package, distribute, and monetize content with powerful metadata and asset management.

Flex as a Service

Available on a subscription basis, Dalet Flex brings all the convenience and affordability SaaS has to offer. Dalet Flex is an enterprise-grade media workflow platform available as a subscription, with custom offerings that can be tailored exactly to any organization’s needs and specific requirements.

The system being fully hosted and operated by Dalet, everything's bundled. You don't need to worry about anything nor taking care about these guidelines at all.

Flex as a Platform

Dalet Flex can also be fully subscribed to as a platform, customer-hosted and operated (when Dalet 24x7 Managed Services plan is not engaged). This allows customer with mission-critical workflows willing to be responsible from A to Z to self-manage the whole ecosystem, from infrastructure to application.

No Vendor Lock-In

Dalet Flex is vendor and platform agnostic: it can be hosted on major Cloud providers as well as legacy on-premises systems (metal or virtualized) and, while taking care of Cloud as-a-service opportunities, when possible, it does not come with any particular stickiness.

The Flex Classic edition, while being micro-services based and fully containerized, runs on vanilla hardware and virtual machines, making it a compatible with almost every customer infrastructure in place.

Alternate Flex editions, fully powered by modern Kubernetes stack, are also available, largely improving the system's resilience and scaling capabilities, but comes with a greater operational cost and complexity.
